Shri H,M. Patel Memorial Trophy was initiated to increase the interest in research in junior members of IAPSM and encourage who is doing good work in research by awarding the trophy and certificate.

The trphy is given away to the winners of the oral presentation in the scientific session held in the Annual conference of the IAPSM-GC.  The trophy is given away every year.

Persons who are considered for the award are..

(A)  Not of more than 45 years and
(B)  Not  holding a post above the rank of Assistant Professor (or equivalent post) or
(C)  Currently registered post graduate student (all courses other than Ph.D).
(D)  Participant should be a medical graduate and the member of the chapter.

Other conditions considered are as below...  

Paper considered for, should be bases on original research work.

• The person considered should be the first and the presenting author of the work. If the need arises, the author has to produce a certificate of this effect, signed by all the co-authors.

Selection for the winner :  

All the participants are assessed  by a panel of minimum of three  judges formed by the Organizing Secretary. Result is annouced in the closing function or the GBM of the chapter and the trophy and  certificate are presented there.
